Probation Violations
 Cover
What happens if you violate probation?

You will be charged under the charge which you are violated. You will be facing whatever amount of time was suspended at your initial sentencing. Most probation violations will consist of an arrest and incarceration; you will need a bond hearing to be released.

At the bond hearing the Probation Officer will submit a report to the court about your violation. The court may resuspend all your time or give you some active time.

REMEMBER: YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN SENTENCED TO THE TIME, THE COURT CAN LEGALLY SEND YOU TO PRISON FOR THE ENTIRE TIME.

We will work to minimize your violation so that you have to spend as little, if any time, incarcerated.

Consequences

You may receive all your time to serve or none, it depends on the type of violation. If you committed a new crime similar to the one you are on probation for you will likely get active time.
